Using Gizmo Call to make phone calls from your browser

Gizmo Call

We’ve all heard of Skype, the internet telephone software that allows you to make calls to landlines (now no longer free, however). It’s great, but in order to use it, you need to install some software. Gizmo Call improves on this by allowing you to make free VOIP calls from your PC using nothing more than your browser and a microphone. You only need to install a small Flash plugin and you’re allowed five minutes of calling per day unless you register, which bumps you up to 10 minutes. There’s the option of purchasing more minutes after that.

Also, sorry if that’s your phone number. I just typed in a random number that probably doesn’t exist.

I have my own Mint:RV2 page running here with client mode enabled, so you guys can check it out, but be warned, there is massive amounts of javascript. On a side note, the blog’s name is now RV2. 2/2/07 (5)

Looks interesting, but I’m not sure if it’s good to be moving the plasma like that. 1/30/07 (0)

Awesome video of Jon Stewart interviewing Bill Gates just before the release of Windows Vista last night.

Update (1/31/07): Here’s a video showing what really happened when Gates left.
