You’ll never guess; today Bungie announced Halo 3, the third and final game in the Halo Trilogy. Halo 3 will be released for Microsoft’s Xbox 360 in 2007. They also released a spiffy new trailer to go along with the news and I have uploaded the small version to YouTube for you guys (you can grab the HD sized version here- but beware it’s 154MB and insanely amazing quality).

Ah, thank god it’s no longer that boomerang shape. Too bad there’s not much new here. It’s pretty much the PS2 controller combined with the Wii (Nintendo Revolution)…
Specs include X-Y-Z, pitch, roll, yaw, and lateral motion detection, bluetooth and wireless controls, and it’s lighter than the PS2 controller.
Looks like Sony just stole Nintendo’s originality.
In addition, pricing details of 20GB for $499 and 60GB for $599 have been released as well.

I’m so excited! After months of waiting, Verizon FiOS is finally available in my area. The Verizon guys have been here for the past few months installing and connecting cables, and it just today it has become available. I will probably be getting the 15mb/2mb plan (which completely owns my 6mb/768kb Comcast line at the moment). Insane BitTorrent speeds, here I come!
Also, on a side note, check out the spiffy new archive page I installed. Good for exploring content quickly (no refreshing of the page!). Still working on it a bit though.

Here’s a little tip to give IE users a warning that they’re using a outdated browser and that they should switch to a better browser. I’ve had this on RV2 [blog] for a while and figured that it’d be helpful tip for benefitting the internet world.
<!--[if IE]>[html code of what you want to be displayed to an IE user]<![endif]-->
The code in between the <!--[if IE]> and <![endif]--> tags only is rendered on IE browsers, so only IE users will see it. Right now, I have a K2-inspired bar above the blog content urging IE users to check out Browse Happy for an alternative browser.

B&H Photo Video is a great company! I normally don’t write reviews about online retailers, but these guys are amazing. I bought a camera last week on Wednesday afternoon (5/3/06) and it came on Friday (5/5/06). Unbelievable, if you ask me. I never paid for special shipping, just ground (since it was the cheapest). Buying from them also saved me about $100 (retail price) and it was $50 less than from Amazon. I highly recommend buying from them if you’re looking for a camera; they’re awesome.

Additional sources have confirmed the MacBook’s announcement this Tuesday. Further, sources report that the MacBook will be thinner than current iBooks, will be available in both black and white configurations, and will likely cost slightly more than previous iBook models—not unlike the price increase Apple’s Mac mini saw with its transition to Intel processors. #
Think Secret has rarely ever been wrong on Mac rumors, so I’m trusting them on this one.
Update: It appears the release has been postponed one week due to supply issues! #

This morning, when going to Apple’s iPod page, you wouldn’t have been presented with the normal iPod page, but rather with this page. Note that it does not say the “MacBook Pro,” but “MacBook”. This, in addition, to an anonymous tip claiming that Apple Stores recieved new materials labeled “do not open until Tuesday, May 9th” probably suggests that we’re about to see the Intel version of the iBook coming out pretty soon.

Ahhh, I can’t believe I found this! Last Sunday’s game where Kobe Bryant tied it with 0.7 left in the fourth and won it at the overtime buzzer, giving the Lakers a 3-1 series lead.

Cruz Hernandez celebrates her 128th birthday in the village of San Agustin, El Salvador. Hernandes, who was born in 1878 and worked as a midwife, had 13 children, of which 5 are still alive, 60 grandchildren and 25 great-great grandchildren. #
Sending out birthday/Christmas cards must be a real pain.
